- After the optional (but preferable) steps of pre-washing and separation from olefins, the PET flakes are washed using a caustic solution, such as sodium hydroxide, alone or in combination with a detergent, at an elevated temperature.

Specification
Basically a cold washed flakes is a PET resin flake that has around 1% moisture. We ensure that our flakes has zero contamination, no PVC, etc. PET flakes are used as the raw material for a range of products that would otherwise be made of polyester.
